A take on an ancient folktale that doesn’t resonate with the original as such. Instead of bringing much anticipation that most carried, it makes huge efforts to focus on just the added romance aspect which brings utter disappointment. Not only that, the main purpose of the drama is made unclear as well. Huge lifesavers of the drama are definitely the side characters, as well as the evident character development with our leads.
Hello and welcome back to the blog! I’m bringing to you all the much awaited review of A Korean Odyssey, which has been something that I’ve been following for the last 2-3 months or so. This drama has definitely taken me on a ride, for all sorts of reasons. Not only did it bring me a little hit of nostalgia, but it also kept me invested to see and follow these handful of characters who I certainly rooted for eagerly. So now, let’s finish this once and for all.
Hello everyone! I am back with a couple of posts lined up, starting off with this one. There has been a number of dramas that I’ve been curious to check out and start off the year with, and this one has definitely been on my radar for a while. There is only really two reasons for this. Number one: It is Seung Gi’s comeback drama (god how I’ve missed him!) and so I’ve been meaning to see if he’s still got it (which he has most definitely not failed to do). And number two: the drama is based off a classic story that I’ve grown up watching and reading for as long as I could remember. Journey to the West has been something that every Chinese kid has grown up with, simply because it’s just been around for that long, and the story always gets a remake every couple of years. Some have been fantastic, while others most definitely fall short. And so, when I heard that this drama would be based loosely on the classic, just set in a more modern setting suited for our time, I was most definitely curious to see how this would go. Also, it doesn’t hurt that this drama is a Hong Sister’s creation xD
And here, I will share with you my thoughts on how this drama has been going for me, and what I plan to do next. So…let’s get on with it.

Hey everyone! I hope you all have been well, and I apologise for my lack of contact and activity on the blog. So so much has changed recently, and I’ve been trying to settle in and adapt to the changes.
In general, it’s been a while since I’ve written a post unrelated to reviews or ranting about some ‘minor’ pet peeves I may have with certain drama trends, but today I felt the urge to update the site with a post that encapsulates the current stress and major changes that I have encountered within the span of a couple of months.
A mystical and compelling xianxia drama that has indeed done the original novel justice. Throughout the course of this drama, it will take you on a journey that is both heart-warming and heartbreaking, thanks to its amazing cast, breathtaking cinematography and fantastic decisions made post-production. Such components make Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms possibly one of the best C-dramas in recent years.

Today I am super excited to share with you my thoughts on this amazing C-drama Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms which I had finished a while back. I do hope that once this drama is released with complete subtitles, that it will gain even more popularity amongst Asian drama fans, because this is indeed an example of what Chinese dramas are capable of. I will admit, I’ve been quite reluctant to write this review since I am exhibiting severe withdrawal symptoms, but it is indeed about time I shared my thoughts on this beauty I came across by accident.
Let’s finish this.
A drama that built potential initially due to its source material and hired cast, only to end with a bitter taste of disappointment in the mouth. With its sloppy editing, unprofessional production choices and dragged story, General and I will leave you screaming and sighing in agony, especially if you’re aware of how the original story went.
As many has discovered with this drama, so much hype surrounded this one, simply because of its original novel, and the popularity our two main leads have in the C-drama industry. However, of course with most highly anticipated dramas, there is such high expectations, too high to the point where the fall downwards is just painful to watch unfold. With General and I being the most anticipated starting C-drama for 2017, there was much to love but sadly, resulted in much to cringe and despise.
Let’s close this once and for all, shall we?
A journey which was poignant, memorable and epic for not only the people we follow along with, but rather the specks of wisdom that the show sprinkles throughout. Through its amazing cinematography, sweet chemistry and intriguing messages, this drama will indeed keep your interest as it sets itself apart from most other dramas.
Like many already have (and eventually will), I am certainly not the first nor last blogger to share their thoughts on this drama. Goblin was perhaps the most anticipated drama of the remaining quarter of 2016 and as expected, it did indeed deliver. After laughing and crying my heart out for numerous hours (and recovering from the numbing feeling that I felt for hours after watching the drama), as well as falling into a little slump for a couple of weeks, I have finally gained the courage to close this drama, and finally say my farewell to our Goblin and his bride.
*deep breath* Let’s get on with it.
Hello and welcome everyone to the 30th and final day of this challenge! Wow, what a journey this has been for the both of us! What I’ve learnt from this challenge is 1) It is so hard to blog daily, keeping up with new content to talk about and share with others and 2) trying to think back into much older dramas in order to not only share with others, but to also remind yourself of the hundreds and hundreds of drama we’ve all watched in the past. I guess what this challenge has shown is that if you do set your mind to it (which was for me to post daily in response to this challenge) you can indeed achieve.
So, let’s finish this.
