Hey everyone! I hope you all have been well, and I apologise for my lack of contact and activity on the blog. So so much has changed recently, and I’ve been trying to settle in and adapt to the changes.
In general, it’s been a while since I’ve written a post unrelated to reviews or ranting about some ‘minor’ pet peeves I may have with certain drama trends, but today I felt the urge to update the site with a post that encapsulates the current stress and major changes that I have encountered within the span of a couple of months.
Every year, I try to make a personal post around the time of my birthday to re-evaluate myself and reflect on the year as myself in life and not only the Hyunnie known on Asia Reviewer Maniac.
Much like last year, fears and worries still exist for little me, and so this post still presents itself today. If you want to check out what I wrote this time last year, check it out here.
Have you ever sat down for a second and thought to yourself: “Who are my friends?”
If you’re thinking of that question now, who did you think of? Was it the people you saw on a daily basis due to work or school, or was it the ones who you’ve rarely seen since ‘life’ happened, but still chat with on a regular basis?
This is going to be a post that is quite different from what I have done in the past. As I use this blog predominantly as a place for expressing my interests that I love sharing with others, I never venture into anything too personal as I sometimes feel that is almost…unnecessary? As in, this blog was created out of the love I had for kpop and dramas, and I had thought that it should stay that way. But for today, I wanted to kind of share some personal issues I have with myself, and I hope that this post may be of some assistance to others, whatever your struggles or problems may be.Continue reading →
Hi everyone!! This is a post that is dedicated to those who are going to take their HSC exams in about a month’s time, and for those who are going into their last year of high school, and are preparing themselves for the BIG year ahead. These ten tips are things that worked out for me, and I hope that you all find it just as useful.
ah-ha…
Exactly!
Let’s Start! (By the way, they are in no particular order, kind of…)
Day 13: What is your favourite quote or a quote that means a lot to you?
Hi guys!! Today’s question is also a bit difficult because I believe that my life circles around numerous quotes. I feel that quotes are a way of life – it shapes who we are and how we live our life. So, I will mention a couple of quotes that mean a lot to me.
To begin, I will state the quote which has been my iPod home screen for years.
Learn from yesterday
Live for today
Hope for tomorrow
-Unknown Source
This quote really meant a lot to me for a while during my last years of high school. When times were tough, and the work was just getting too much, I used to just open my screen and I would see the quote. It definitely helped me rethink about my current life, and convinced me to change. It is so simple, yet it speaks so much.
Okay! Next one!
Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
– Mahatma Gandhi
Ever since I was about 15, life wasn’t turning for the best. I had to treat my life precious, as certain events during the time allowed me to understand that most of the time, your life isn’t within your control. It can be taken away from you just as quickly as your life was given. And so, it was important to realised that you had to treat everyday as if it were your last. Also, education is the key to life. It is so important to be constantly learning since you have a brain for a reason (LOL). Knowledge is so important.
Final one! And it’s a pic!
This is applicable to anyone, especially to your loved ones 🙂
A.A.Milne, as I hope you all know, is famously-recognised for creating and writing “Winnie the Pooh”, a book/cartoon that I had adored dearly. This quote, spoken by him, is so meaningful and never makes me forget that this life couldn’t have been possible without the love and support from my family and friends. I love them all dearly, and they mean to world to me, as I hope to do the same when I start my own.
So, enough said. I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you will join me again tomorrow. See you all soon~~
Okay, so I just scrolled through my tumblr like any Asian-crazy maniac and I discovered alot of these 30 day challenges that I find REALLY REALLY interesting.
I really want to become more active on this site but I found to lack in motivation and inspiration. These challenges may be what I might need right now. Also, I found out about this ‘weekly photo challenge’ that seems really intersting and realistic since these 30 day challenge ones may become too demanding.
But these seem so interesting…anyways, I may start the photo challenge next week. As for some challenges, I may have to still go searching for perhaps shorted ones.
Oh, btw, I want to do these challenges on this blog rather than tumblr. Still will refer back to them but I feel more comfortable typing here 🙂
Will be back soon with new stuff to talk about. I may do an MV review of ‘Wolf’ soon as well.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Enjoy and I hope to talk to you soon~~ Got to go and finish off my history essay now >< oh, the agony lol!
