Weekly Photo Challenge: Let There Be Light!

Hi everybody!

Wow, I’ve just realised that it has been a millenia since I did my last entry for the “Weekly Photo Challenge”. I do apologise; I haven’t really been inspired to take photos of anything really ><

Anyways, here is my entry for the week! I went with a couple of friends to Sydney Aquarium for their birthday. Having not been there for over 6 years (yep, it’s been that long~) it was an eye-opening experience to reminisce in the memories of my younger childhood (how cheesy does that sound hehe)

Upon walking around the place, there were various sea-life which had neon lighting within their tanks, casting the whole display to release numerous rad colours. All photos below were taken on my iPod.

First it display this dark blue colour...

First it display this dark blue colour on the jellyfish…

And then it changed to this aqua blue colour.

The neon lighting allowed the coral to "light up" in a neon green colour

Hope you all enjoyed this week’s entry, and hopefully I’ll be back next week for the next challenge! Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Infinite

Hello everyone!!

This week’s theme is “infinite” and honestly, the photo I took a couple of days ago was seriously a coincidence.

I went to St James Station to visit the State Library, and it was the first time that I had actually taken any photos there. On that day, I had realised for the first time that it was a truly stunning train station to be at. The photo below was taken on my iPod.

Looking down the platform towards that tunnel, not sure when and where it ends.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s entry! Sorry if it seems lacking ><

Weekly Photo Challenge: Good Morning!

Hello everyone! Wow, it’s been ages since I last did a photo challenge. I do apologise, and in all honesty, I feel absolutely guilty about it ><

So, here are my entries for this week!

This first photo was taken in the library on the 8th floor at my university. Bored as hell from the countless pages of readings, I was inspired to actually take a moment and ponder upon the view which I had totally ignored.

An early morning start at university. The view itself helped keep me motivated to finish a couple of readings before my first tutorial.

The next photo was actually taken the next day, after my girly cravings kicked in early in the morning. Green tea latte with waffles drizzled with chocolate sauce? Why the hell not?

The next morning, I decided to spoil myself...no regrets ><

So, I hope you all enjoyed this week’s entry, and I will be back next week with my next one (hopefully!)

Weekly Photo Challenge: One Shot, Two Ways

HI GUYS!!!

It hasn’t been long since my last entry for the weekly photo challenge due to me being TRULY delayed and everything but this time I am on schedule (lol)

This week’s theme is “One shot, Two ways”, which means that the photographer has to take a photo in both a horizontal and vertical view. My entry this week was taken during my trip to Melbourne with my family early this year. When my sister and I visited the State Library of Victoria, I had taken a photo of the “La Trobe Reading Room”. The layout of the room was just breathtaking, and to think that it was found in the actual library is truly amazing.

So, hope you all enjoyed this entry and I’ll see you all next week!!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreshadow

Hi guys!

So this week’s topic is “foreshadow”. Below is a photo that I had taken this morning. Whilst finishing off some homework, I had ordered a Green Tea Latte for the first time. It was absolutely gorgeous and I knew that I was in for a fantastic ride. The coffee foreshadowed a very progressive yet distracting study session.

Thank you all for reading and I hope to see you all next week!!

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Golden Hour

Hi guys! Firstly, I have to apologise since I didn’t do a post for the photo challenge last week. It was just too busy for me and I didn’t get a chance to go out and find “inspiration”. I figured that since I was inspired to take anything last week, then there was no point to taking part of the challenge. And to be honest, my idea for the theme didn’t really work out since my actual “companion” doesn’t exactly exist anymore… So yeah, so sorry about that ><

Anyway, this week’s theme is “The Golden Hour” – the first and last hour of sunlight of the day. Below is a photo that I had taken on my Melbourne trip during the beginning of the year(I took a lot, I know ><) This was when the sun had started to set over Melbourne. I was back in my hotel room getting changed to go out with the family for dinner since the sun started to set at around 8 at night! The quality is, yes, terrible but the photo itself I believe was so beautiful.

The sunlight felt amazing. Sadly, the window couldn't open so I couldn't take a better photo ><

So yeah, hope you all enjoyed this week’s entry, and I hope to see you all again next week!! Talk to you all soon~~

Weekly Photo Challenge: The World Through Your Eyes

Hello, hello. This week’s photo challenge theme is “The World Through Your Eyes”. A tough one in my opinion but then I realised that I had taken something very recently.

I made a trip to the Art Gallery of NSW during the last week of the semester for an university assessment. It has been so long since I had last been there yet not much has changed since I last had been there years ago. One thing in particular was the scenery around the building. Despite it being winter, the weather was beautiful on that day, and I just had to take a photo before I regretted it.

I remember I had to squat low in order to take this shot properly. I say that this shot is considered quite successful since there wasn’t any cars or buses to disturb the scenery.

I was really luck to take this shot without any disturbance or weird people looking at me ><

I also had the sudden urge to take a photo of a beautiful tree up ahead. How I took it was from right below the tree, 5 steps away from the tree and then 10 steps away from the tree. Once again the sun was beautiful therefore making the shots more majestic than ever.

Right below the tree.

10 steps away from the tree. It was so magnificent that I couldn't help but take photos of it :)

Anyway, this is my post for the week. I hope you all enjoyed it and I can’t wait for next week’s!! I’m absolutely loving these challenges! See you all soon~~

Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves

Hello again peoples! This week’s theme is “curves”. I was thinking of doing something more  related to nature but I came across this photo. I thought to myself “Yeah, it seems related” so, here you go. Curves that is commonly seen in my day-to-day life.

When I went to Melbourne at the beginning of the year with the family, we met plenty more relatives during our visit. Plenty of food was served, and the photo below was placed on our table in just five minutes!!! So much food was eaten and tried (OMG! If I ever go back, this is the place to visit!), and the photo really demonstrates the beauty of curves. If you replaced all of the cups, bowls etc with square-shaped ones, I think the feel of the place would have been ruined.

Mmmmmm..yum-cha *drool* TAKE ME BACK MUM, TAKE ME BACK!

Mmmmmm..yum-cha *drool* TAKE ME BACK MUM, TAKE ME BACK!

CURVES! CURVES EVERYWHERE!!!

Hope you all appreciate the picture (don’t get too hungry) and I’ll come back next week with a more worthy attempt >< Love you all and I’ll see you soon~~

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting

Hi guys! This week’s photo challenge theme is “fleeting”. It was pretty tough but what I interpret “fleeting” is through nature but more specifically, the clouds.

Clouds have always been something that I always take photos of when I am bored. One day when I was coming back from uni, I looked up at the chilly sky and the clouds looked like the ones down below. The sunset in the background looked wonderful, and the disperse of the clouds looked so delicate, as if it was a painting.

The clouds looked so delicate and it spread all across the sky

The clouds looked so delicate and it spread all across the sky

However, about a minute later, the clouds moved away so quickly due to the cold winds and it looked like this at a different angle. Waiting for the bus only took 3 minutes, but these clouds didn’t even last for about a 1/3 of that time. Fleeting to me means transience,    a moment which is short-lived. Yet, it was beautiful while it lasted.

It still looked cool but the clouds had dispersed so quickly...how did it happen so fast?

So, here is my entry for this week’s challenge! I hope you all enjoyed, and I’ll talk to you soon~~

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Sign Says…

When I went to Melbourne for my first ever trip on a plane (yes, prior I have never been even close to an airport!) with my family at the beginning of the year, we came upon a famous tourist attraction called the “12 Apostles”. It is a beautiful location at the coast of Melbourne, and the view was breathtaking. However, while I was walking on a bridge to get to the location, I came upon this sign:

Sister tapped me on the shoulder and almost ordered me to take a photo of it...no regrets ><

Sister tapped me on the shoulder and ordered me to take a photo of it…no regrets ><

Now, my sister and I look upon it and just chuckle. As some people say, “The sign says it all” lol!

First time ever doing the weekly photo challenge, and I absolutely LOVE the concept. It’s great, not too demanding and very unique. Can’t wait for next week!

Hope you all have a lovely day and I’ll see you soon~~
