A short, sweet and easy drama that has everything you’ve wanted and needed. Adorable, well-paced and just perfect in length and execution. Great for those who are seeking for a cute and short rom-com, or for those who want to take a break from some heavy long-term commitment dramas 😉
I am certainly not the first nor the last blogger to rave about how good this drama special was. And yes, of course some points that I’ll go over have probably been talked about before, however I personally believe that this drama deserves proper recognition. It is really quite rare currently to see a K-drama as short as this one yet still so solid, enjoyable and not just loose ends left in the wind; the drama definitely took its disadvantage (length of airing) and turned it into an advantage. Those who are seeking a kdrama special that doesn’t require a huge commitment but is still wanting to watching something great, this may be the one for you. Anyway, before I continue rambling further, let’s get on with this review.
This is going to be a post that is quite different from what I have done in the past. As I use this blog predominantly as a place for expressing my interests that I love sharing with others, I never venture into anything too personal as I sometimes feel that is almost…unnecessary? As in, this blog was created out of the love I had for kpop and dramas, and I had thought that it should stay that way. But for today, I wanted to kind of share some personal issues I have with myself, and I hope that this post may be of some assistance to others, whatever your struggles or problems may be.Continue reading →
Hello everyone!!! Today is such a great and “sunny” day (eyyy get it??), because one of my most closest blogger friends, Kelly from kellykdramafantasy has nominated me for “The Sunshine Award”. This is the first time I have ever heard of this award, but I am truly flattered that Kelly chose me as one of many to receive it. Thank you so much Kelly!!!
Okay, so the rules are:
Thank the person who nominated you (of course you should! That would be so rude hehe~)
Answer the questions from the person who nominated you.
Nominate a few other bloggers of your choice.
Write the same amount of questions for the bloggers you nominated.
I am going to probably going to be MIA for the next two weeks. This is due to the fact that I have two 3000 word essays due in under two weeks time, both of which I have had hardly any progress in over the last couple of days. I’m trying, honestly I am, but I am just having so much trouble with them, especially my US History one; that one is just over my head now.
So, I do apologise that I won’t be able to post anything up. I really wanted to pump out my Empress Ki review tomorrow, but I’ve decided to place it on hold for now, and post it up first thing once I get a chance to actually do so. I really want to put a little bit more effort into it since I believe it requires a little bit more than just say “Hey, I liked it, and the ending sucked; finished”. NO, that is not my opinion about the drama, and it will remain this way 😉
Also, there was a bunch of things that I wanted to do too besides it. Here is a miniature list:
First Impressions: “步步惊情 (Bu Bu Jing Qing)” (Yep, it finally started, and it feels like a MESS!)
First Impressions: “Conspiracy in the Court” (JIN YI HAN!!!)
First Impressions: “A New Leaf” (…JIN YI HAN!!!) Hey, can’t help but support Tal-Tal, right?
Final Review: “You From Another Star” (Yes, I finally finished it! Thank goodness~)
First Impressions: “Golden Rainbow” (It seemed interesting enough to watch)
Phew, that was a list huh? And it’s all just sitting here, collecting virtual dust for at least the next two weeks 😦 Hopefully, I will jump back on the bandwagon ASAP once everything is done!
I love you all, and I hope that this will not take me away from you all for too long. I am sorry that I haven’t been as active as I could be, but uni work is just biting up my butt at the moment, and I can’t just ignore it – it is practically impossible to do so! Seriously, I really need to get a working timetable on both my uni and blogging life; this is getting terribly out of hand!
Thank you all for the continuous support you all have provided me, and I promise to see you all very soon~~
❤ Yami Hyunnie ^^~
P.S. Have some beautiful and handsome Tal-Tal pics while you’re at it 😉 No need to thank me!
I will forever ship this couple…FOREVER I TELL YA!
I am a guilty victim of the “rewatch whole Kdramas whilst procrastinating” illness. And I did exactly that just two days ago when I should have concentrated on finishing off some homework due the following morning.
In one night too.
Yep, judge me. Go ahead, because I know 100% that what I did was wrong ><
The thing about this illness (and yes, I consider it an illness since I feel that it is severely contagious) is that it does pros and cons (yes, surprisingly there are pros in this!) The cons are quite obvious, but the inconspicuous pros are what I want to focus on slightly.
Pros about revisiting an old drama that you watched years ago (ignoring the whole “I just stayed up all night to finish this marathon” bit) is that you get to discover points and highlights in the drama that you probably never noticed the first time around. With my experience of reliving the world of “Hwang Jin Yi”, I’ve come to realise that there is a good reason why good Kdramas are just good. And so, here is my review that will entail you all of my 2nd experience with “Hwang Jin Yi”!
And yeah, this post possibly may not be spoiler-free; you have been warned!
An absolutely stunning photo taken! Ha Ji Won unni looks so beautiful *o*
Hahaha what a cheesy title huh?I AM BACK FROM THE DEAD!!! Finally! After suffering from days of no blogging, I’m finally able to come back with this; the Asia Reviewer Maniac Awards of 2013! Yes I know, a bit late past Christmas but hey, Christmas is family time peoples; I had to spend it with some of the special people in my life (even though you readers count as a portion of that, sorry!)
2013 has been a huge year for Asian pop culture, whether it is music, dramas or even animes. In particular, Kpop has been huge this year, where the international community has also begun to notice even more about what Korean music has to offer. Nonetheless, other aspects of Asian pop culture such as anime, dramas and other styles of music have also been shone in the spotlight and has been taken notice by other parts of the world as well. God I’m so proud to be Asian :3
Alright so the awards are all based on my own personal opinion, and also what I have been able to see and discover this year. Yes, there will be some categories which will be slightly lacking than others, but please understand that I am but only one person, and it is simply not possible to get around to everyone and everything >< If you aren’t that satisfied with the results I’ve concluded with, then leave a comment below stating what or who you think should have won what category. Also, if you haven’t noticed already from my blog site, it is pretty Kpop biased, so the Kpop section of the awards will take a major portion of the awards lol. Hope you all don’t mind that! And so, here goes!
K-pop
The list below I discovered from Saphirya’s Kpop Award 2013 blog post. She has given a fantastic list, which is what I have based my results from. Go check out her blog site for more Kpop awesomeness! http://saphirya.com/
Hi everyone! I’m back today with my first Chinese movie review! Honestly, I have watched quite a few Chinese movies over the past couple of months however none of them seemed worthy/inspiring enough to write a review on. This, on the other hand, is a true exception, and must be given justice for its beauty, sophistication and epic storyline.
Before we begin….SPOILER ALERT! Don’t say I didn’t warn you hehe… Of course, I will avoid too much information as much as possible, but sometimes, it can’t be helped!
Hi everyone!! This is a post that is dedicated to those who are going to take their HSC exams in about a month’s time, and for those who are going into their last year of high school, and are preparing themselves for the BIG year ahead. These ten tips are things that worked out for me, and I hope that you all find it just as useful.
ah-ha…
Exactly!
Let’s Start! (By the way, they are in no particular order, kind of…)
