Hello and welcome back to the challenge! We have 4 more days everyone, 4 more days!!! Today’s question is:
Drama character you’d actually want to be
Well…this question got me quite stuck. Really stuck. It made me really question the idea “Would I wanna be a heroine that tries to get together with the richest guy in town, and be stalked and shunned by ex-girlfriends and evil mother-in-laws?” No, definitely not. So, I went to go in search of a character who I admire and has their life together.
Ma Hye Ri from Prosecutor Princess

I remember watching this many years ago, and absolutely loved it. Not just for the story, but also for our main lead. Sure, Hye Ri starts off as an annoying and materialistic ‘princess’ who would much prefer buying the latest trends than use her intelligence for the good, but it’s the fact that her character development into this competent and savvy prosecutor that really made me admire her most. Her transformation wasn’t anything too extraordinary, but I loved that she found who she was, was comfortable and loved what she did (and was good at it) and that she finally found what her calling was. There was a rollercoaster of a ride in this drama, but the fact that everything turns out in the end is great. If I were her, I wouldn’t mind the troubles and hardships I’d encounter in between, since I know that the end result would be all worth it in the end. Love her, and I really hope that other dramas would try to character develop their leads in such a way too – not too plot driven, really believable and just a joy to follow.
Here’s the 30 Day Asian Drama Challenge if you are interested in joining! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s answers to these questions.
