Welcome welcome everyone~~ Day 5 has rolled around and here is the question:
Guilty pleasure drama that you love to watch, even though you know it’s flawed
This one is a toughy, as you can tell by the extremely short post. I’m not someone who rewatches dramas from start to finish; I’m more like those peeps who look for certain scenes and clips to sate myself. The most recent one would be Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. A flawed drama indeed, but I can’t help relive our SoSoo couple’s sweet moments.
For an older one that I do go back to is perhaps the Cdrama New Shanghai Bund from 2007. There is much to love yet much to hate about this one, but I can’t help revisit this one cause of Wen Qiang and his devoted love for Cheng Cheng. Although it was hard to invest myself into each character’s story, the action and the characterisation of certain characters always gets to me. Definitely the MVP of this drama is Huang Xiao Ming, hands down. Even though this can’t compare to the original Shanghai Bund, he still earns a huge shout out for this one.
Here’s the 30 Day Asian Drama Challenge if you are interested in joining! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s answers to these questions.

Scarlet Heart definitely fits the bill for this! Hmmm this is a hard question. I think I would pick Playful Kiss (or any version of that story, really). Is the guy kind of (definitely) emotionally abusive? Yes. Do I still love that story? YES
Keep going! I love reading these!

Hahaha Playful Kiss definitely fits the bill too for sure. Despite how slack the male lead is to the female lead, we can’t help but still ship them :3
