Day 3~~ Today I’ll be discussing about some lovely actresses, similar to yesterday.
Actress(es) that proved you wrong about their acting abilities
1. Uee from After School
I mentioned this in my Year in Review for 2016 that I was extremely impressed with her performance in Marriage Contract, and thinking over her acting career back to You’re Beautiful, I can indeed see the growth that she has made ever since then. I am aware that she’s in a new drama at the moment, but I’m still on the fence about that one. I’m considering on watching Golden Rainbow first before launching into her recent work.
2. Shin Se Kyung
Must I mention that *shiver* horrid drama by the name of Fashion King…That was the first time I had seen Se Kyung in one of her works, and I kinda vowed that that would be the last. However, after seeing bits and pieces of her in The Girl Who Sees Smells, I was surprisingly impressed with her acting. I’ve come to the realisation that perhaps rom-com suit her more than melodramas any day.
3. IU
Yeah, I still remember her from Dream High and yes, I was very aware that that was her first acting gig. But now, fast forward to 2017 and compare then to her now in Scarlet Heart: Ryeo as well as The Producers, I’m really proud of how far she’s come. I hope to see her in a new work sometime soon!
I would have tried to mention actresses and actors from Chinese dramas but lately I can only remember them being either really good, or really bad with not much improvement.
