OKAY!! Hey guys and I am back with another MV review!! Today’s song is “Luv Is” by the wonderful and talented Lim Jeong Hee.
Now, I have been a HUGE fan of Lim Jeong Hee ever since she released the song “On The Way To Breakup” back in 2010. That song is one of my most favourite songs to listen to, and it is a song that reminds me a lot of memories (both good and bad). If anyone is interested, I’ll leave a link down belong for you guys to listen to. Despite it not having some sort of MV or anything, it is still amazing to listen to (plus she collabs with Jo Kwon, KYA!) whenever you feel like listening to some ballad songs :3

Definitely one of my most favourite songs ever. Despite it being really emotional. it has really got me through some really tough times in my life 🙂
Anyway, back to the ACTUAL review. “Luv Is” was released today around about 6 hours ago (as of this review) and so it is still stuck on that “301+ views of doom” (seriously YouTube, you really need to get that fixed. Sometimes the view counts are stuck like that for DAYS!) Once again, it is another heart-wrenching ballad, which is not surprising since it seems to be her style (I have to admit though, it is quite depressing at times)
Now this song is (not surprisingly) a very painfully song about a really bad break up, and from her singing, you can even feel the pain and suffering about the relationship ending. Her high notes are FLAWLESS, seriously. Near the end, when she sings the “Don’t Go” line, I literally got goosebumps all over my arms and body; it was THAT good.
Not that her vocals EVER disappointed me before but yeah, it is always amazing to feel that run through your body. And the amazing thing is, regardless of whether or not you understand what she is saying, you can really sense the emotion within her voice. She is just so talented, full stop.
And Baechigi’s rap is really effective is displaying the pain of the break up as well. Sometimes, some rappers tend to seem detached from their songs however, Baechigi sounded just as pained as Jeong Hee. Great rapping! ❤
On to the MV itself. Jeong Hee doesn’t really act in her own MVs so it wasn’t surprising to see others in it. One unexpected inclusion in there was definitely Seulong’s appearance. And boy, can he act. I haven’t watched his recent drama (a sin, I know) but after seeing his performance in this MV, I would totally be in to watch it now. The song matches the MV (hurray!!!!!! Seriously, I am so grateful to the people who do that. There is nothing worse than watching something totally UNRELATED to what is being sung in the background ><) So yes, the MV is a big win for me.
Okay, so really this song is A-MA-ZING! I am so happy that Jeong Hee is back with another type of genre which she is totally rocking! Please check out her new single “Luv It” by clicking the link below. I’ll post both the original and English subtitled versions. Also, be sure to check out her an older single that I mentioned before “On The Way To Breakup” which is just as amazing!
Thank you all for tuning in and I will see you guys very, very soon~~
